About the Committee

The Research & Innovation Committee (R&I) is a sub-committee to the Agriculture Senior Officials Committee (AGSOC).  The R&I Committee is responsible for the oversight of the stewardship of the National Primary Industries Research Development and Extension Framework (the Framework).

The R&I Committee is charged with looking for improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of rural RD&E, to maximise the contributions of RD&E to primary industries, rural and regional Australia and the wider community.

The R&I Committee provides advice on the overall performance of the primary industries research innovation system and emerging technologies to AGSOG.
